Description: A fine English Late Victorian boudoir grand piano by John Broadwood & Sons, London. The sweeping case is richly veneered in figured burl walnut and supported by three substantial turned and faceted walnut legs ending in brass casters. The fitted music desk has a pierced foliate design centered by a lyre, while the carved pedal support carries two wooden pedals. The straight-strung interior retains its soundboard, iron bracing, strings, dampers, and period Patent Repetition Grand designation.
Marks: Gilt-lettered John Broadwood & Sons / London to the ebonized nameboard. The interior is marked Patent / Repetition Grand / No. 2360.

Condition: Presents attractively with scattered scratches, abrasions, finish wear, surface hazing, veneer checking, minor separations, and small edge losses consistent with age. The key coverings exhibit yellowing, cracks, separations, wear, and scattered small chips. The interior shows accumulated dust, oxidation to strings and metal components, and expected wear to the action and dampers.
