Adam’s do not have an in-house delivery or collection service, and outsource all shipping requirements, both domestic and international, to third parties. We are happy to recommend shippers with whom we deal on a regular basis — please contact us for a recommendation for your specific needs.
Collection, storage & related charges
There is no charge to buyers who collect their lots within 10 days of the sale. From the 11th day onwards the following charges apply per lot:
- Large objects (e.g. furniture, large paintings and sculpture) — administration fee €70, plus storage of €8 per day
- Small objects (e.g. books, luxury, ceramics, small paintings) — administration fee €35, plus storage of €4 per day
All charges are subject to VAT; size is determined at Adam’s discretion. Thirty days after the auction, where a buyer has failed to collect lots that have been paid for, Adam’s may re-offer them at auction in the buyer’s name. Where items remain uncollected 90 days following a final notice, the lots may be deemed abandoned.

Adam’s are not responsible for any loss or damage howsoever caused as a result of recommending these shippers and carriers; we do so purely as a courtesy to our customers. Where a lot is shipped outside the EU, the VAT on buyer’s premium may be zero-rated as an export once proof of export from a recommended shipper is secured.
